September 19 to 21, 2025 (with optional welcome/registration Thursday 5-8pm). Kick-off is at 9am on Friday, September 19, with its first workshop, and wrap-up is at approximately 11am on Sunday, September 21, after a waterfront group strum and a group photo!

The Loyalist Inn, at 160 Water St. Shelburne, NS. Arrival on Friday morning, as well as all of the camp workshops happen at the Inn, while the open mic (The Ship’s Galley, 156 Water St.), the All-Instructors concert (Boxing Rock Tap Room, 218 Water St.) and the Sunday strum (Dock St.) will happen in various Shelburne locations, all within easy distance from the Inn.

There is ample street parking on Water Street out front of the Loyalist Inn, where all of the daytime programming takes place. All other locations have easy parking either on the street or in dedicated lots.

Camp dress code is casual. Dress comfortably for a weekend of ukulele learning. You might want to zhuzh up your attire to casual chic though, for Saturday night’s gala concert or if you plan to dine at Shelburne’s formal dining restaurant, Charlotte Lane.(https://www.charlottelane.ca/) (You will definitely need a reservation for this!)

Yes! Your ukulele! You might want to bring a music stand (and maybe your iPad?)... other than that, there is no required equipment. Once you’ve registered, we will provide you with as exhaustive a list as we are able, so that you have everything you need for a great ukulele weekend.

Yes and no. DUC has a partner rate registration for your partner to attend some of the non-ukulele-learning activities (including the Saturday lunch and Saturday Evening concert). And although we are not set up to provide your children a great time during the weekend, we’d love them to pop by to say hello on their way to the seaside adventures!
