Where do I go to access the camp online?


The Concerts and Open Mics will be streamed on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dockstreetukecamp Workshops will be delivered via Zoom workshop. Once you have registered for a workshop, you will receive a link that will take you directly to the online workshop Zoom "meeting".




What if I registered for a workshop but can no longer attend?


Please check out our Refund Policy regarding refunds. Unfortunately, we will not be providing refunds for 2020 workshops.




I can’t attend the workshop I registered for. Can I get a refund?

I don’t use online financials. How else can I send payment for my registration?

I have never used Zoom. Is it hard? How do I do it?


Using Zoom is not hard, but it does require a bit of set up. You can find some help here.




Where do I view the concerts?


All concerts will be hosted on our Facebook page here. facebook.com/dockstreetukecamp




Do I have to pay for the concerts?


No, the concerts are not ticketed. There will be various "tip jar" options for you to choose from, to contribute. All artists, jam masters, open mic hosts and workshop instructors will be paid a fair wage for their time and talent. Please give as generously as you are able. (more information to come)




I’ve ordered a t-shirt. When will I get it? How much will shipping cost?


There will be opportunities to order t-shirts before the camp and during the camp. Processing times will vary. (more details to come) In all cases, items purchased will be sent by Canada Post, whose shipping costs and processing time we cannot predict.




I’ve never played an online open mic. How does it work?


If you plan to listen and enjoy the open mic as an audience member, go to our Facebook page where it will be streaming LIVE. It will be listed with the videos, with a red "LIVE" tag. If you plan to play, you will need to register. You will recieve a zoom link and instructions on how to join the open mic as performer. Open Mic registration has no cost but spots are limited.




Will you be opening 2021 registration soon?


We hope to open 2021 registration during our online 2020 camp.




I don’t live in any of the time zones on your schedule. How do I know what time to attend?

When comes time for the workshop, what if I never manage to join?


When you have registered for a workshop you will receive an email with all the details you'll need for joining the online "meeting" for the workshop. It will suggest that you set up 15 minutes before the start time, in order to ensure that you sign on successfully.




I got my t-shirt and it doesn’t fit. What should I do?


Please send an email explaing the problem and we'll be happy to send you a different size, once we recieve your return package. There will be no additional charge for the replacement shirt; it will be sent to you at our shipping cost. "Dear Goldilocks, this process is limited to one exchange per camper."




I never got my shirt or my tumbler. What should I do?


We will endeavour to help track down your package and if we are unsuccessful, we'll replace your wayward items. Because of COVID19 Canada Post informs us that shipping times may be delayed.




How do I know what time zone I’m in?

Since all the workshops are in C6 tuning, how do I know what tuning I play in?


If you tune your ukulele GCEA then you are in C6 tuning, if you tune ADF#B then you are in D6 tuning.




How much of the tip jar goes to the artists?


Just about half the entire tip jar amount will be split equally between the three Flash Concert artists. The balance will be shared between the workshop instructors, jam masters and open mic host. There will be various " tip jar" options for you to choose from, to contribute. All artists, jam masters, open mic hosts and workshop instructors will be paid a fair wage for their time and talent. Please give as generously as you are able.




Will DUC2021 also be held online?


No! We plan to be back in Shelburne, Nova Scotia in 2021.




Who designed the t-shirt graphic?


Acclaimed artist Ned Sonntag of High Times fame, and perhaps best known for his licensed work of Betty Boop images, is the esteemed, official Dock St. Uke Camp t-shirt graphic designer.




How do I wash my t-shirt?


To preserve your t-shirt's graphic, turn it inside out to wash. Tumble-dry and do not iron.
